  • Jessica Ready, ARNP CNM Birth Center Co-Owner

    Jessica is a Certified Nurse Midwife and co-owner of the Maple Street Birth Center. As a midwife, Jessica offers full-spectrum pregnancy and postpartum care for childbearing families. Her practice, Clary Sage Midwifery & Wellness also provides primary care for women throughout the lifespan. In the 12 years before becoming a Nurse-Midwife, she fulfilled her calling to care for others as an Acute Care, Emergency room, and Labor & Delivery Nurse; Childbirth Educator, home birth assistant, placenta encapsulator, and student midwife.

    Jessica is passionate about equal access to trauma-informed care and the importance of birth to age 3 in determining life-long health outcomes. Midwife Jessica balances intuition with a deep knowledge base to meet people where they are, providing support and respecting autonomy. Beyond birth center walls and outside of clinical practice, she loves to hike, garden, ride horses, and revisit family histories on the backroads of Okanogan County.

  • Sarah Simmons, LM, CPM Birth Center Co-Owner

    Sarah is a Licensed Midwife and co-owner of the Maple Street Birth Center. She has been in practice as a midwife since 2014 and involved in professional birth work for over a decade. She has a passion for building the Maple Street community and creating a safe space for all birthing families. She has owned and operated Methow Valley Midwifery for the past 6 years, providing home births throughout Okanogan, Douglas, and Ferry counties. Midwife Sarah’s care is nurturing and grounding. She is an advocate for safety in home birth and a member of the Washington Alliance for Responsible Midwifery.

    Before moving to Twisp, Sarah worked in a thriving midwifery practice in Tacoma, Wa. She has experience with high risk OB as well as low risk maternity care and excels in knowing when to consult. She and her husband have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. When Sarah is not catching a baby you can catch her homeschooling her boys, canning, gardening, sewing, and loving her grandbabies.
